We live in an existence of two contrasting forces. We live in an existence where we are pulled upward by the spirit of God or pulled downward by the spirit of darkness. Within you lies the power to respond to the upward or downward pull upon you. The spiritual battle you face each day requires you to pick a side to fight for and defend. You can choose which direction you want your heart and soul to take. You can choose the spirit of God and be pulled upward or you can choose the spirit of darkness and be pulled downward. Satan puts temptation, pain, and suffering upon you to take you down to defeat. Christ stands beside you and gives you the power of His Spirit to pull you up to victory. You choose defeat when you choose to think about caving into temptation. You choose victory when you resist temptation. You choose defeat when you give up hope. You choose victory when you grasp the hope of God. You choose defeat when you stop believing Christ died to set you free. You choose victory when you cling to Christ's old rugged Cross so divine.
