Being righteous in every way has incredibly positive consequences. We do not often think about these positive consequences unless we are unrighteous, we get caught in our unrighteousness, and we must pay a penalty. We live in freedom when we are righteous. When we are unrighteous, we lose our freedom because either the society in which we live takes our freedom from us or we imprison ourselves in our unrighteous darkness. When we are righteous our living in openness and in the light brings healing, wholeness, and fearlessness. Being unrighteous results in our closing off the world and living in the darkness of sickness, unwholesomeness, and fear. The result of being righteous results in our living in a continual state of healing and renewal because the light and love of God shines in our heart. |
