DELIGHT IN THE LORD

The dictionary defines delight as “giving great pleasure or joy.”  When we pursue the Lord and find delight in His ways, we are changed.  He shapes our hearts and makes us desire Him even more.  In Psalm 37:4, David says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”  This is not a promise to give you whatever you want.  Instead, it is a promise the Lord will transform what you desire!  We will hunger and thirst after righteousness (Matt. 5:6)! Look at some more verses which speak about the transformation and delights of our heart.
