PEACE

The LORD is Peace

Judges 6:24

             “Behold, a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of rest.  I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies.  For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days.”  (1 Chronicles 22:9)

             “Behold something greater than Solomon is here.”  (Matthew 12:42)  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)  My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. (Isaiah 32:18-19)

             He himself is our peace. (Ephesians 2:14) And he shall be their peace.  When the Assyrian comes into our land. (Micah 5:5)

             “They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is LORD of lords and King of kings.” (Revelation 17:14)

             “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.” (John 14:27)
